Retaliation...

Guess I spoke too soon yesterday - I was the only one scared of the gun!  Apparently JayJay has decided to play fast and loose with his nine lives...

He said that he found a loophole in Mom's "Behavior Modification" plan:  She only bought ONE gun & it resides downstairs.  He waited until she finished huffing & puffing on the human hamster wheel (something called a dreadmill?  You people are so crazy!  Why don't you just run around the house like we do??), & when she got into the shower - he sprang into action!

My little brother is a calculating genius!  He figured out that Mom wouldn't be too likely to catch him in the act while she was busy cleaning herself (really people?  Don't you have combs on your tongues too?)

By the time she found him, the damage had been done & well, she COULDN'T punish him if he wasn't doing anything at that moment!  Hehe!

Uh Oh...

We've done a bad thing...
So bad that steam was shooting out of our Mom's ears - kitties, never make your Mommies or Daddies this mad!  She got a horrible, horrible thing to punish us!

... JayJay said that she didn't have any real proof that we did it,  so we should play innocent.  But I told him that somehow Mom knew we were the ones responsible for digging in the soil of the big plant that she bought when we moved in.  She didn't say anything the first day it happened, she just cleaned it up...  The second day it happened, she grumbled something under her breath that I didn't catch - something about rat buzzards or custards.  I figured that if she thought the rat buzzards tore up the soil, then I'd just go with it - we were home free!

Unfortunately, the third day it happened she screamed our names - in the tone that we KNOW means business!  We came running down the stairs to see what was going on.  As she cleaned up the mess she was talking really fast -  saying that she was going to buy a **gasp** gun & we kitties were going to be sorry we messed with her!  Then she threw the broom in the closet & left in a huff!

...Whatever happened to blaming it on the rat buzzards??

So she left in the large silver monster & was gone for like, ever!  It was practically dark by the time she got back - & no kidding, kitties - she got a real live gun!  It's not safe at our townhouse anymore!  It shoots real live water bullets about a bazillion feet in the air!  What are we going to do??  Can you ask your Moms & Dads if we can come live with you???

Hark! Who Goes There??

It is I, er, Nicodemus - The Bathroom Monitor!!  I've been sent here to oversee all goings on in this here powder room.  Guaranteed to get in the way of any rushing feet and/or emergency!  This is the room that I like to snoop in the best - Mom has the best stuff on the counters to whap off the edge!  Those pretty bottles of par-fume make the greatest sounds when they hit the ground, though it smells kind of bad afterward...  They must be magic potions!  Hehe!  Think I'm going to try to use one on JayJay next time to see if I can turn him into a frog!

Nico

ps. Thanks to all of the well wishers about Austin!  We still miss him terribly, but Mom has gotten to the point of being able to smile & joke again.  :)

Changes

Hi Everyone,

Happy Mother's Day!

Yes, we're back...  We have some good news on where we've been, and also some sad news.  The reason we've been away so long is that our Mom had gotten a job in Illinois (we were previously in Virginia) so she packed us up & moved us across country (we were drugged in the backseat, screaming the WHOLE way - Mom was ready to pull her ears off of her head, it was awesome!)  Then we didn't have internet for a long, long time!  When we finally did, my Grandma called & said that our brother, Austin was full of cancer.  He was in terrible pain & so Mom gave her consent to let him go.  She was so sad for a long time after that & didn't feel like doing much...  We've been cuddling with her a lot & she says that helps.  I think she just wishes that she had been able to keep Austin until the end - they had been through a lot together.  She just got worried when she couldn't keep his thyroid levels under control & JayJay was starting to beat up on him (I know it's mean, but we cats know when one of us isn't as strong as he used to be & well, you know...).  She thought that he would be happier in a household that didn't have a threatening environment & Grandma loved him like he was her own. (BIG sigh from Mom)

Anyway,  now we live in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.  The townhouse that she chose for us (yes, the woman works for us) is nice & quiet - that is, until we start with the THoE games...  It's great here!

We hope all of you kitties are cuddling with your Mommies today as a special thank you for all that they do!

Austin is Relocating

On a sad note...

The decision has been made by Mom & Grandma that Austin is going to go live with Grandma up in New York.  Mom is heartbroken, but Austin's thyroid levels are fluctuating - even on the medication that Mom is giving him...  Grandma lives close to Cornell Vet Hospital so he will get the best care possible...  We will miss him terribly.  :(

Friday Flashback - Happy New Year 2010!

Happy 2010!  We hope everyone will have a wonderful New Year!  In keeping with our Friday flashbacks - and I think Fin mentioned something about posting a baby pic - here are two pictures of a young JayJay looking all cuddly!
