Hiya! My name is Simon Hunter Alexander Meezer!!
TLWTCOMN (The Lady Who Takes Care Of Me Now) had to drive 14+ hours almost straight to get me home! But she promised that I could tell the story today -
On Friday I was loaded up early in the morning with my brothers & sister into a big long metal monster & we headed up to someplace called Ohi-o. I was very scared & worried because we were all separated into different PTUs. The trip was hours & hours - I couldn't see anything 'cept the back of the driver's head!! Jazz, my oldest brother, was so upset at being in the PTU that he struggled & scratched at the metal bars until his poor little paws got leaky - the driver stopped & took him to a V-E-T to get fixed up, but he left the van running so that the rest of us kitties wouldn't get hot. Finally we stopped in someplace called Columbus & some of my brothers went away. A few minutes later, we were on the move again - I was very worried at this point... I didn't know what was going to happen!! This time we stopped in someplace called Mansfield. The van doors opened up & this lady climbed in. I knew in an instant that she was going to help me - I just knew it! She was so nice & talked so sweetly to me & my sister that I felt a little better. She brought her own PTU with her & when she opened my door, she asked me to get into hers - No pulling or pushing - she just asked! Since my own PTU was yucky & smelly (I, um had a little accident), I went right in - It was nice & roomy, plus it had a nice cushy pillow! She exchanged a few words with the driver & this other lady (I think her name was Judi) & then we set off in her big metal monster. This trip was hours & hours - but I was so comfy in this new PTU that I stopped crying! I was so quiet that the lady stopped half way to check on me to make sure I was ok - but I just looked at her & mewed that I was fine.
Finally, late in the evening we stopped at someplace the lady called "home". She brought me inside & introduced me to two new kitties - she said they were my new brothers, Nico & JayJay. Which was weird, 'cause I already had brothers of my own! What the heck was she talking about?? The little cat named JayJay came up to my PTU, looked in & hissed. I didn't like that one bit!
Then she took me upstairs & put me into the bathroom. As if I hadn't been through enough today - she came at me with a soapy warm cloth! Didn't she know I knew how to clean myself?? I didn't like that either so I ran & hid in the bathtub behind the curtain - I kept asking her where I was & where my family was & WHY SHE INSISTED ON RUBBING AT ME WITH THE SOAPY CLOTH!!! (she said I was a stinky-poo)
She gave me some really yummy stinky goodness to make up for the soapy cloth & I was sooo hungry that I gobbled it all up in only a few bites! Unfortunately then she closed the door on me & I was left alone... So I cried. A little while later, the lady came back in & said that everything was set up & she carried me into another room where she laid down with me. It was very nice - but I kept asking her what happened & where my family was. I was so confused!
The next day I woke up & the nice lady was still sleeping. So I mewed a little & she woke up. She said it was time to get to know the boys & opened the door. I walked out & looked around - it was very different here! The lady grabbed her blanket & headed downstairs, so I followed. There I met another meezer - he looked just like me! Except he was big & long with huge paws! I went right up to him & said hi!! But he just backed away & hissed! What the heck is wrong with these kitties??
I guess the lady was so worn out from the trip (I was too - why did she have to sleep so much??) She set up her blankets on the couch & laid down again, but she started asking me what my name was. I told her that my name was Bubba but I didn't respond to it... (she tried to call me by that name & I walked the other way) So, she started calling out names - Prince! Ashley! Bartho-le-Mew! Didn't like any of these, so I didn't respond. She kept going - Barnaby! Barney Miller! Beauregard! Nothing. More name calling... After several more, she called out Simon - I liked that one, I even mewed! She took that as a sign & started calling me Simon. That's my new name! She said my full name was going to be Simon Hunter (because I was on the hunt for a new home - Thanks to Jacqueline & her kitties) Alexander (because she said it fit) meezer!
Anyway, that's my story so far - I hope these kitties will warm up to me, I really need a friend! The lady said I could start blogging on here & that I could probably find some blogging kitty friends in the meantime. Will you be my friend??

Hi Simon, we would love to be your friend. There was a very handsome cat bugler named Simon in a book Mommy read so we thinks it is the purrfect name for you cause we know you are going to steal lots of hearts. Hope your new brothers warm up to you soon. Artemisia knows all about leaving one family behind and having to make friends with her new siblings. She finally won Hissy-Fit Scylla over and they are best friends forever and loving sisters now.
