Uh Oh...

We've done a bad thing...
So bad that steam was shooting out of our Mom's ears - kitties, never make your Mommies or Daddies this mad!  She got a horrible, horrible thing to punish us!

... JayJay said that she didn't have any real proof that we did it,  so we should play innocent.  But I told him that somehow Mom knew we were the ones responsible for digging in the soil of the big plant that she bought when we moved in.  She didn't say anything the first day it happened, she just cleaned it up...  The second day it happened, she grumbled something under her breath that I didn't catch - something about rat buzzards or custards.  I figured that if she thought the rat buzzards tore up the soil, then I'd just go with it - we were home free!

Unfortunately, the third day it happened she screamed our names - in the tone that we KNOW means business!  We came running down the stairs to see what was going on.  As she cleaned up the mess she was talking really fast -  saying that she was going to buy a **gasp** gun & we kitties were going to be sorry we messed with her!  Then she threw the broom in the closet & left in a huff!

...Whatever happened to blaming it on the rat buzzards??

So she left in the large silver monster & was gone for like, ever!  It was practically dark by the time she got back - & no kidding, kitties - she got a real live gun!  It's not safe at our townhouse anymore!  It shoots real live water bullets about a bazillion feet in the air!  What are we going to do??  Can you ask your Moms & Dads if we can come live with you???

Signed - A very scared Nico & JayJay

  2. We think she means business; you guys can hideout at our house for awhile, but when she calms down and you go home, you'd better leave the plant alone!!...We'll leave a key under the mat; see you both soon...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

  3. Okay guys, I am going to tell your human something that you won't like, but if you think about it, it's really better than getting shot with water bullets. She should try filling the top of the planter with fairly large, decorative, sharp rocks. Then it won't feel good for the rat buzzards to dig around in and she won't have to pull out her gun.

  4. A bit of dirt on the wood floor? And your mom was upset about that? Ha. Try having just-watered plants knocked over with all the wet soil ground into beige carpet! This would be why (a) we don't have carpet downstairs anymore and (b) we don't have many plants in our house anymore either. MOL.

The rock idea is good. Our human used tin foil on top of the soil, all around the base of the plants, for a while. Not as attractive as rocks, though! Large rocks are a great idea!

We're still naughty too. We learned she won't use it in the house.

  8. Well, we don't know what to tell you other than to avoid the plant - we totally understand about not wanting to get wet. And that looks like it could get you really wet!!

  11. OK, she went and got the weapon, but as much as she loves you, do you really think she could use it on you? Hint: look her straight in the eye and give her the Innocent, Loving Cat Look. You know the one...
